During springtime with heavy rain and random sunshine, rust can easily form on outdoor surfaces. Your favorite metal patio furniture or your gardening tools can easily become coated with that rough red rust, making it difficult to use and even dangerous in some cases.
Rust can rip and tear at clothing and even your skin. And certain types of bacteria are quick to form on rust, such as tetanus, which can result in serious health issues.
One of the best DIY ways to remove rust is by using one of the most versatile natural ingredients out there - vinegar.
White vinegar can be used for so many different things, and rust removal is a great example of its multipurpose uses.
How to Get Rid of Rust
Step 1: Either spray or submerge the rusty object in vinegar, allowing it to soak into the rust for about 20-30 minutes.
Step 2: Using a scrubbing brush and additional vinegar, begin scrubbing away at any remaining rust on the object.
Step 3: Dry the object thoroughly and you should be good to go!
