There are two types of people in this world -- those who think washing and folding their laundry is relaxing, and those who despise the task. No matter which camp you fall into -- laundry is certainly a chore to be done either weekly or biweekly depending on your household.
Many of you will separate whites from darks and take care when putting clothing through the washer and dryer -- while others will just dump their basket right in and hit the 'start' button. Either way, there are some very simple ways you can deep clean your laundry with very little effort from you.
How to use Vinegar in your Laundry
Vinegar is the magical ingredient many people use in their laundry for several different reasons. It's a multipurpose product that works wonderfully and easily for different tasks.
Vinegar Fabric Softener: After putting your clothing through the washing machine, wait until it's on its last rinse cycle, then open it up and pour 1/2 - 1 cup of vinegar into the washing machine. Your clothing will feel softer than ever!
Vinegar Stain Remover: If some of your clothing has stains, tend to them before putting them through the washing machine. Just dab some white vinegar onto the stains and use a brush or rag to gently rub the vinegar in. Allow the vinegar to soak into the stain, then put through the washing machine.
Vinegar Deodorizer: If your clothes aren't smelling their best, whether from sweat or smoke or food, vinegar can deodorize the fabric for a long-term solution. Just wait until your washing machine is on its last rinse cycle and pour 1/2 - 1 cup of vinegar into the washing machine. Bad smells no more!
Vinegar Color Brightener: Vinegar can also be used to keep colors from fading. Just pour 1/2 cup of vinegar into the washing machine so it can work its color-brightening magic on your clothing. No more dull colors!
Spruce up your wardrobe easily with white vinegar.
